Dr. Susan Fisher is a developmental optometrist in practice in Westbury. Her office provides a wide range of medical and optical eyecare. Dr. Fisher has experience treating patients with special needs, acquired brain injury, low vision, and binocular disorders.
After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry in 1982, she worked several years in ophthalmology and optometric practices. Dr. Fisher opened a private practice in North Bellmore in 1988 with the goal of providing personalized eyecare in a relaxed environment.
In 1996 she joined the medical staff of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County caring for special needs patients. In 2011, Dr. Fisher moved her practice to a larger office in Westbury to provide state-of-the-art technologies to her patients.
Dr. Fisher is a Past President of the New York State Optometric Association and of the Nassau County Optometric Society. She is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Fisher is certified to provide low vision services for the New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped.
